"Any result and finding on a specific heritage artefact has to be compared and put in the context of a larger group of other related objects in order to study the relevance and significance of those findings and to draw conclusions. Are such features specific to an artist, to a period, to a brand, to an alteration? Such fundamental questions for art-historians and collections can be addressed through statistical assessment and computational sciences. Developing those tools may provide easy protocols for the heritage community in order to date, to attribute or to cluster photographs in a non-invasive way. This will is the aim of the following topics that is presented, discussed and shared within this GDRI."
